Sandy, Erik, anybody in Baltimore an you confirm or deny information indicating heavy snow buildup cause the roof of the Mt Clare roundhouse to partially collapse last night?

Posts on the O-Gauge Railroading forum seem to confirm that one triangular section of the roof, from cupola to outer wall, has collapsed. :-

I can see the Museum from my condo window, and it appears that AT LEAST 25% ( at least a 90-degree segment) of the roof (not the smaller cupola roof over the turntable, but that larger circular sloped one spanning from the central iron columns to the outer brick wall) has completely collapsed. There is no sign of even any framing members. The brick wall appears to be intact.

Looking again with binoculars, it appears that at least half (180-degree segment) of the lower (hip-like) roof collapsed (the southern and western portion). The roof would have come down right on top of the priceless collection in the roundhouse. And it's still snowing.
