Were all of you as sickened as I was, looking at Sandy's photo of Mt. Clare? What can we do to help? Go to Mt. Clare? Probably too difficult for most of us (little things like work, family, etc., not to mention our own RR places). Paul Ganter just sent me a link to make a secure, on-line donation to the B&O Museum. And, I just sent them a C-note. Guys and gals, this is the equivalent of donating blood on Sept. 12, 2001, and will probably have more effect. GIVE, MAKE A DONATION. Do it NOW. Yes, you can afford it. We all have to stand together with those guys..... the place is a priceless national treasure. We all give plenty (time and money) to our own places, the museum or railroad or depot or rolling stock project we might be involved with. This is different, this deserves our help. If this community doesn't support the B&O Museum in this disaster, then we can't expect other help. My thoughts are with you. www.borail.org/donation.asp hpincus@mindspring.org |

Thanks, Howard. You beat me to it! Please realize that B&O may have to make immediate decisions about whether to try to save the structure or the remainder of the collection.
