How much if any of the loss is covered by insurance?

I asked the Museum staff about this today.

The B&O Museum carried extensive insurance coverage, including but not limited to, building and contents coverage for the roundhouse, separate coverage for the collections therein, and interruption of business coverage among other coverages as risks. So, there are very helpful coverages in place.

Of course, all of these carried major deductibles and no doubt many exclusions as well. The Museum was prudent, but still needs all the help it can get.
