The former Boston & Maine depot at Danvers Jct. in Danvers, MA is looking like it may be donated to the city. Owned by a local fuel oil dealer for many years, the recent change in ownership has sparked new interest by local preservationists.

The new owners of the property have indicated their willingness to part with the historic structure, and the local historical society is obviously excited at the prospect. According to a story in the "SalemNews" the station was built in 1868 and moved to it's present location in 1923. Moved by rail on a parallel track to it's current location 80 years ago, it may now be moved again, back to a spot close to it's original location.

This appears to be a rather exquisite structure. I hope they are successful.
