Does anyone out there know what ever happened to the Frisco 1352 2-8-2 that was being restored in I believe Taylor Illinois?
They had a nice website and they seemed to be well organized and then just up and quit.
Any new information would be appreciated.
Thanks
Steve
It has been quite awhile, but I had correspondence from about a year ago [and I'm not really sure of
the time-frame] or more, of the group's decision to put 1352 up for sale. I have no further details concerning the engine's disposition.

It is still in Taylorville IL, the tender is setting outside along with the domes and some other parts. The fence is locked and there is no sign of anybody having been around for awhile. We had heard a rumor that it might go to Monticello, but I think it was just that,a rumor.
It might be worthwhile to contact Mr. Ted Lemen.
He was the 1352 Project's founder {sorry, I don't have contact information handy}.
