I'm looking for builder number lists for the ALCo and BLW USATC locomotives. Specifically the 2-8-2 MacArthurs in 36", 1000mm, and 42" gauge.
Builder#, date shipped, destination railway

The information you seek (and much more) can be found in "United States Army Transportation Corps Locomotives" by R. Tourret, Tourret Publishing, 5 Byron Close, Abingdon, Oxon, England. Cheers!

A friend of mine found the Baldwin Construction #'s and info at the National Archives in DC. We found some very interesting info especially on the #190 class engines. I operate #190 at Tweetsie, im trying to come up with something to make note of her 60th anniversary. If you want you can contact me off line and i will set you up with the guy that has the info.
