Recent decision regarding asbestos disease liability for railroaders. Not sure if it affects preservation or not. Those who work on steam locomotives today are aware of the danger and do so willingly. Those who labored in the shops years ago weren't and certainly would have been disciplined if they had made any noise about it. Old laborers in the asbestos grinding room worked in air so thick with the dust they could hardly see and machinists in the pit had the stuff falling on them all the time as boilermakers above stripped lagging off engines being overhauled.
