Strasburg RR is not a museum, per se, but they do some of the finest freight car restorations I've seen. Considering they have no financial incentive to do so, this is pretty amazing. I was especially impressed a few years ago with their restoration of a Central Vermont boxcar. There's nary a single one restored in the railway's home state, but the folks in Pa. did a fine job. ryarger@rypn.org |

I agree Bob. Strasburg is a business. They have a bottom line to watch like all companies. Restoration of equipment that really has no potential to generate revenue is unheard of in any other type of business.
