According to this link, Great Western Railway (of Colorado) 2-8-0 51 has left the Fillmore & Western in California on flatcars and is headed home to its owner in Mead, CO (on the GWR). http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?f=1&i=226262&t=226262 ryarger@rypn.org |

Great Western #51 is owned by John Birmingham of Mead, Colorado about halfway between Loveland and Longmont. John's son Jim runs the Cripple Creek and Victor. I would personally like to see #51 run on the Gee Whiz again. Roger Mitchell Master Mechanic Fort Collins Municipal Railway Fort Collins Municipal Railway home page n0mcr@netzero.net |
