From the Nevada Department of Cultural Affairs, State Historic Preservation Office (linked below): “The 1995 Nevada Legislature provided $20 million for one of the most far-reaching initiatives for cultural resources in the history of Nevada. The legislation makes $2 million available each year for the following decade. Funding is intended to rehabilitate historic buildings for use as cultural centers.
