Steve Lee status?

Anyone seen anything on the status of UP's Steve Lee? Last I'd heard, he had had bypass heart surgery and was recovering. That usually means disability on the railroad.

Steve's been back at work since November, I believe. Doing pretty well, apparently the Form 4 on his new flues got approved by the FRA and he's good for 15 years (his joke, not mine).

Got a note from him the other day that if all goes as planned, he'll be out on the road with 3985 quite a bit this year. UP hasn't announced a schedule yet, but I'm guessing it won't be too much longer.

No firm word yet, but Mr. Bromley on Trainorders.com has hinted that this summer's schedule will by pretty extensive even for Steam Program standards. Let's hope so.

Hey Steve, if working on the Challenger is too much effort for the repaired ticker, come on out to Union and run our "sports model" Decapod instead, and I'll fill in on your chooch. Don't worry, you won't have to shovel (that's why we have student firemen!).
