Greetings,

I was wondering which roundhouses out there are close to being demolished or have plans to be demolished?

Thanks,

Last I knew, the Rock Island roundhouse in Manly, IA was still standing, but slated to be demolished for expansion of a nearby grain elevator. The turntable was even still in place.

It is still standing, for how long, who knows. The DL&W Roundhouse in Kingston, PA. The railroad yard had car shops here, a bolier shop and a hot house where they would grow the shrubs and flowers to landscape the passenger stations. The car shop building is still in use today as a lumber company.
