Post subject:  Falmouth rail line

A bill has been introduced in Massachusetts to force abandonment of the onetime New Haven branch to Falmouth, on Cape Cod, so that it may be used as a bike path. Those who wish to save the dormant branch have proposed a rail-with-trail situation, that is opposed by those who wish to tear up the line, citing harm to adjacent wetlands. Proponents of the rail route want to see the eventual reinstatment of commuter service to Boston by the MBTA. Comments may be made on the bill at the link below:
