Steam train at Galena, Illinois, 1968. I'm guessing this is Rayonier No. 2, now at N. Freedom, after filming of movie Gaily Gaily in Chicago? About that time, Steamtown in VT had some coaches lettered Illinois Central. Is that where these went?

You're correct Bob, that is Saginaw Timber/Polson Logging/Rayonier #2 that is now at Mid-Continent. Also many of the wood cars used for Gaily, Gaily came from Mid-Continent's collection.
Photo below is of some of the cars while filming was being done in Chicago for part of the movie.

Yes they are, exept the coaling tower is gone.
Was there about a year ago.

The coaling contraption disappeared in '68 or '69, replaced by a pair of diesel tanks(barely visible in the right edge of the picture) and a sand tower for the diesels.
