Long Bell Lumber Co. No. 4, an unusual 2-6-2 (said to be built as a tank engine) used at Tennant, California. Engine was acquired by Gene Autry and stored at his Melody Ranch for years. Now owned by Fred Kepner and stored derelict in a field at Merrill, Oregon. http://abpr.railfan.net/abprphoto.cgi?september02/09-20-02/lbl4.jpg ryarger@rypn.org |
