What ever happened to Grand Trunk Western #4070, that used to run on the Cuyahoga Valley Line????
I haven't heard anything about it in quite some time....

Stored in a roundhouse, near where it used to run I believe.

Here's what I know...

I believe at some point about 10 years ago the owners of the engine (the Midwest Railway Historical Foundation) had a parting of the ways with the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic where the engine was running. The engine was moved to a roundhouse (in Cleveland I believe) and remains there, assembled.

I remember reading where the foundation had not taken the engine apart for a rebuild until they had concrete funding and a place to run afterwords, a sound decision indeed. Long story short, the engine is safe and sound.

Wouldn't it be nice to see a genuine USRA engine running by your window?
