Chris, Rob, et. all;

Rob may recall that exactly five years ago, we were discussing the Wanamie situation on the nerrandcoal group on Yahoo. Fortunately, I keep all of that information in a mail folder on my PC, and it survived one or two major upgrades since.

The following is the best I could piece together on all of the Wanamie lokies. Notice that the pictures I have are from the *1970s*, NOT 1999. 1999 was when I was pulling all of this together; I am sorry about the error:

1916 #28 Delaware, Lackawanna & Western RR at Loomis Colliery, Plymouth, PA (Conrad)

1976 Keystone Light Railway Equipment Co. at Farmingdale, NJ (Conrad)

**** Note2: H.K. Porter/7255/1937 was a *fireless cooker*

Chris, the engine was dumped near the engine house, which appears in your photographs. As you said, it is obviously not visible there. I noticed there are still large piles of culm in your photographs; perhaps it is buried somewhere in there?

Several groups (including the Historic Machinery Services Corp.) expressed interest in obtaining this locomotive. But, my trail is cold after the 1990s.

Rob, I noticed that we ended that thread with an exchange of wishes for a Happy Easter. Four years later, I still wish you and all a happy and blessed Easter.

James,

Thank you! I lost my notes from that discussion! Ya' know I am a Mac guy, but I *realkly* need to get your CD-ROM.

Anyway, here's what I can add:

#4 & #9 were apparently sold after Stan Matthews passed away. Wes Barris has them listed as privately owned by Micheal Schlag in Oregon. The engine that was in Bayville is now in Farmingdale, NJ and is not a Wanamie lokie.

#8 remains a mystery.

#28 apparently remains with Fred Keppner. I had heard it was stored inside an old powerhouse.

#51 was not a Wanamie engine. I have heard she was in the fire, but have heard differing tales of her status.

Have a blessed Easter, James. And happy holidays to all!
