The Lynnville Railroad Museum

Looks like it could be that Republic Steel 0-6-2 from Birmingham, though the No. 7 doesn't jive. Linnville looks to be spelled Lynnville on second viewing. Where is this?

I would say 99% chance it is. Other than the obvious similarities of the front of the loco and the station, in the second picture the sign mentions something about Dotson's Gap, while the Lynnville Museum is just a short distance from Dodson Gap Road. While spelled differently it is close enough to be very strange if it is a coincidence.

BTW the loco is a 2-6-2.

I've been there but I can't remember on what trip and where it was.

It's a nice little static museum display with a depot. I think the local chamber was in the depot or it was exhibits or a rental hall or all of the above.

There are too many small "afterburner" museums out there. You forget to kick off the afterburners and you miss 'em.

Lynnville, Tennessee. Some photos and sources show this locomotive as a 2-6-2, but as I recall it is really an 0-6-2 with pony wheels added for display.
