For all you WABCO historians out there......

What year did WABCO change from a brass to aluminum builders plate on their engineers brake valves?

I have a 6ET system with a brass tag on the H6 and aluminum on the S6.

Dave;
The 1943 vintage ex U.S. Army Plymouth I used to own had phenolic tags on the valves. Also valves are VERY interchangeable, so your S-6 may be a much newer valve.

That is my expectation Nathan, but how much newer? We have from 1910 up to the Eisenhower administration as potential.
