A while back, there was a post about the BNSF scrapping SD9 locomotive #6111 (ex Colorado & Southern 838, used on the Leadville to Climax line) The locomotive was located in Seattle WA. We have been working with the BNSF, trying to acquire the locomotive but have not heard from them for over a month. (They were willing to sell it, we were trying to work out a payment plan) My question is, does anyone out there know if the locomotive still exists? I don't want to press the issue if the locomotive has already been cut up.
