Story of a staged locomotive collision that went wrong in 1896. Two M-K-T 4-4-0s destroyed at the event in Texas.

An electronic version of the Scott Joplin tune composed for the event. Not his most melodic work, but interesting.

Another souce of info is the link below. The place called Crush was set up just for the Katy event. The gave free train rides to the event in the hopes of selling land.
