Attached is a link to BoardSource, formerly the National Center for Nonprofit Boards, which is dedicated to improving Non profit governance by improving boards. On their site is a free e-book, in PDF format, (ADOBE ACROBAT is also free) on the history and operation of nonprofit boards. Should be required reading for all board members.
