As work progresses (slowly, but progress is progress!) on IRM's UP 428, a 1900 Burnham 2-8-0, we're approaching the point where we'll have some steam to put through a whistle--but the original is missing.

We could use a "generic" step-top, but it would be much better to have a UP freight whistle. Does anyone have one available for sale or trade? If so, please contact me off-list.

There is a guy in Durango selling a whistle off an older UP steam engine I believe. If interested check out the NG discussion Board, or email me.
