For those of you who may be interested in the LIRR's parlor cars, I've created a website on that subject. At the moment, only the section on their heavyweight parlor cars is available. Once I resolve some technical difficulties, the sections on their lightweight parlor cars (as well as "secondhand" lightweight passenger cars) will be available. If you have any images you are willing to contribute to the site, or can correct any parlor car roster gaps/errors, then please let me know. LIRR Parlor Cars jhdeasy@mindspring.com |

Jack, You definately have my interest. Your page looks good but the links under the lightweight and secondhand cars are broken. The heavyweight page works fine. I just moved that content from one server to another. I hope to have the remainder of the site back online and the links operative by tomorrow. Jack Deasy jhdeasy@mindspring.com |

As a Long Island native and a one time commuter on the Post Jefferson branch; Thank you for your research! That is quite a roster you have there. Summers sure; but the cars were also standing room only around Christmas week as I recall. Lots of six wheeel trucks back in those days. Ted Miles ted_miles@nps.gov |
