Post subject:  Corydon tourist train

Apparently will not be running this year. That's too bad as I was hoping to head down there this year. My first inclination is that the spiraling insurance cost is what did them in. Anyone know for sure?

It does not state much more than what is listed on the RYPN site. Only a vague explanation on expenses vs revenues.

I revert to my original thought -- insurance costs probably were the death knell. The cost of operating the RDC's cannot add up to much unless their passenger count really dropped off the charts.

Newspaper article (Flimsies, 03 May) says, "rising insurance premiums and fuel costs were difficult to justify..."
