Does anyone have a builder's listing for Jordan spreaders, i.e., builder number versus purchaser? I've tried working through the company's successor, but no luck to date.

Kevin,

Was there one with the article about Jordan spreaders that was in TRAINS something like 20 years ago?

The article in Trains (June, 1969) does not include a builder's list. Jackson Jordan did (and I assume still does) maintain a file on each machine and was able to supply parts lists and copies of operators manuals for spreaders which I bought second-hand. The Jordan department folks were always helpful and had interesting tales to tell...such as a self-propelled Jordan spreader which would have been grafted to a switch engine frame. The Class I which was interested couldn't get the unions to agree to a reasonable number of people in the cab.
