It's a good thing that train station is still standing, along with the roundhouse fragment; otherwise little is left to use as a reference point. All those little homes in center right were seemingly so close to the station, but with the highway bisecting that area, the station may as well be on the moon, if you wanted to walk from your home.

Good Shots. Since I grew up in Kansas City in the 1950s I always loved Union Station. The link below has lots of photos of the station if you click on Kansas City Terminal
