Some of those photos are of the station at Dempster Street in Skokie, which was originally built by the Chicago North Shore & Milwaukee interurban line. This was along the Skokie Valley Route, which was built in the mid-1920's as a cutoff to avoid the slower Shore Line Route along the north shore.

The link below is to a page on www.chicago-l.org about Dempster Street Station, which is currently undergoing renovation. It was moved a short distance from its original location last year and is now being restored to its original grandeur.

Actually, the building was going be knocked down as part of an expansion of the CTA Skokie Swift parking lot and a re-configuration of the parking lot entrances/exits on Dempster St. The station has now been moved approximately 100 feet East of its original location and is being restored (reconstructed would be a better word) as indicated in the photos. This depot, opened in 1926 for the Skokie Valley route of the North Shore Line and the Niles Center "L", has been a cause cèlébre in local architectural preservation circles for many years. .
