Looks complete. Newport is east of Claremont, on the old B&M Concord & Claremont line, last used between Claremont & Newport as the Claremont & Concord RR.

Bob,

This is an ex DL&W car. It sits at the intersection of NH Routes 11 and 103 in Wendell's (Sunapee Station) a few miles east of Newport. The owner also has a signle-sheathed CV boxcar and other non-rail equipment on the property. It has been ther for years. The car is close to, but not on, the Claremont branch ROW.

Just a 1/4 mile away are the B&M depot and frieghthouse.

Down the road to the west a few miles is the restored Newport depot and C&C bike trail. To the east a few miles is a B&M caboose and the restored station at Newbury. I also hear tale of two B&M cabooses in a scrap yard about 5 miles away. I went to find it, but it got dark before I got to the yard.

Have the folks at Strasburg restore it. It is the same as most of their coaches.

2 cents more:
This steel car sat at Edaville for years.

Once again, the posts on this board illustrate the unfulfilled potential for another northeastern railroad museum, and/or the expansion and improvement of existing ones. It seems that since the loss of Steamtown and Wolfeboro in the area, there might be an opportunity for a large museum that would focus on the northern half of New England. the Yankee States Railroad Museum? It would need to be near a highway with reasonably heavy tourist traffic, on lower-priced land and with few nearby attractions that would out-compete it for visitors.

And what ever happened to the Tyngsboro Ambroid car that was on Ebay a few days ago?
