Post subject:  Bumblebee

Rio Grande 268 has had its "bumblebee" paint job completed and is under a new shelter at the museum in Gunnison, CO. Photos at link below. This paint scheme was first applied in 1949, when the locomotive represented the D&RGW at the Chicago RR Fair. Afterward, it returned to regular service out of Gunnison, where it participated in scrapping of the trackage in 1955. It was the last C-16 class in operation.

Nice job, nice photos. Good to see a display engine under a roof. Sure as hell hope that's a REPLICA builder's plate on her, though!!!
