Five or more weekends of operation of Pere Marquette 1225 are being planned in 2000. We expect there will be two weekends of passenger specials over the Tuscola and Saginaw Bay Railway, using the excursion trainset now being completed by T&SB. Our Engineer-for-an-Hour program will resume for up to three weekends beginning in mid-June. Locations, schedules and prices for these events will be announced when arrangements are made final. Other operations and exhibitions of Locomotive 1225 are being studied.
Eight new driver springs have been delivered, and will be installed this winter.
Membership in Project 1225 is $25 per calendar year.
Aarne Frobom
Michigan State Trust for Railway Preservation, Inc.
P.
