Found this site via Flimsies. Some interesting info on longtime country music stars, who have now been surpassed by the current soundalike dribble from Nashville. June Carter, of the "second" Carter Family group has died. Doc Watson will be 80 and is still performing. Also some information on the recording studio at Bristol, Tennessee, which launched the careers of the Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, Ernest Stoneman (Stoneman Family)and others who performed railroad songs.

I am a drummer (as well as a railroad book author and video producer) and will finally get to play at a railroad. On 6/28 at 7pm, I am playing the D&S roundhouse museum with a gospel quartet for a benefit for the restoration of loco 315.
