Just recieved word from their owner that the Russian TEM-7A diesels in the Port of Houston have been sold back to Russia. I have no further details; but it sounds like the sad story of their arrival in the United States and a search for a new home has ended at last.

BTW, these locomotives are essentially stretched versions of the Russian-built TEM-1, which was itself a copy of the ALCO RSD-1s sent to Russia during WWII as part of the Lend-Lease program. You can barely see a trace of their ALCO ancestory in their appearance.
