I really wish I could make it up there for this run. Of course, I am still holding out hope to see #2816 re-create her commuter days out of Montreal.

On a Toronto-related note, I see that the NMRA board of directors has cancelled thier meeting at the July NMRA convention since most of the board members are staying home on account of SARS.

If #2816's runs weren't father's day weekend, I would have headed up there, SARS or not. Toronto is a great city and I have found the railroads/railroaders to be very friendly.

And I still haven't made it up to South Simcoe, yet.

Pretty S T U P I D !! People are NOT dropping dead in the streets, nobody wears a mask in public. The problem is in hospitals with face-to-face contact etc.

Biggest problem is media hysteria such as CNN which tried to get Mike Bullard to live interview about it, then cancelled when he wouldn't say what they wanted him to say. He said this on his TV late show last night.

This is something for which we should all buy tickets, or support in whatever way we can. A few letters of thanks to CPR for making this effort would not hurt either.
