HELP-I'M INTERESTED IN WHAT'S LEFT OF CONNECTING AND PASS SERVICE IN MEXICO-AS WELL AS WHEN AND WHAT BROUGHT ABOUT IT'S DEMISE.WE HAD SOME GOOD TRIPS IN MID-70'S FROM EL-PASO. I USUALLY KEEP UP WITH THINGS BUT THIS GOT BY ME. MANY THANKS ] alaalien@yahoo.com |

Almost nothing's left. What brought about its demise was privatization of the Mexican railway network in the 1990s--the prvate franchisees immediately axed passenger service upon receiving control of their lines.
