And yet, if one of these students, who are we kidding, young adults, had been injured on the bridge, or on railroad property, the same courts would have had no problem upholding a multi-million dollar judgement against the railroad. As a former short line railroad employee, we used to be down right vicious on the trespassers. Now you know why.

I can't imagine that UP wouldn't seek some sort of justice outside of the fine for breaking the law?

I imagine UP will consider a civil suit to recover damages.
