CTC Board reports two Baldwin switchers were donated to the Whitewater Valley RR. Could someone tell me what are the models(S12?) and the heritage of these units?

Both units are former P&BR units and both are designated as S12 models. It may turn out that one was originally a DS4-4-1000 that was rebuilt as an S12. Both units are in very good condition. Unfortunately both have had cosmetic surgery to the noses that have robbed them of their Baldwin "look". We hope to acquire the parts needed (headlight & grill, etc.) to put at least one of them (probably #346) back to its Baldwin appearance.

Busy with Thomas right now, but we have been making up a set on roller bearing idler trucks to ship them with over NS. The friction bearing price of $62.00 per mile was a little excessive! We hope to have them moved to Indiana this summer.
