We often talk about the hostile response steam operators get from Class 1s when looking to use their tracks, but I was wondering what your railroad's policy is for running a "foreign" engine. Have you ever done it? Dan Markoff once took Eureka for a spin on the D & S and I was wondering, if an individual or group showed up on your doorstep, what would you tell them? What sort of conditions and insurance would you require?

Also, would you diesel operators rent a steam locomotive for a weekend, month, whatever, if the opportunity presented itself rather than go through the expense and effort restoring your own?

Well, assuming a connection to the world gets built, there is some serious talk of a large mainline steamer from the north woods wintering in the Savannah roundhouse in the future.

Two self ppropelled cars - one Edwards and one trolley replica - will soon be available for use wherever.
