In response to Bob's earlier post, the cost of insurance cover in all areas across the board here has also taken a big increase, with some steam lines in the UK and one in Ireland that I have seen, commenting on the hike but not going into specifics. I suspect that European counterparts fare worse under the EU regime, but have no data/info to verify.

However steam is still better off than premiums for general aviation (ie for your Cessna or Lear) as far as Europe is concerned, some of their proposals for increased indemnity cover are hefty, to say the least. Quite a contrast to Angola, who will let you drive off with a 727.
