Post subject:  Craig Mtn Lumber Co # 3 arrives in Green Bay
Former Kettle Moraine Railway Heisler # 3 was unloaded today at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay WI.On Monday July 7th the locomotive had been loaded on to two trucks for the 125 mile move.It is on loan to the museum along with two D&LW coaches # 573 & # 583.The first operating day is scheduled for Aug 16 & 17 , 2003.

These are advertisments that appeared in two issues of "The Timberman," about log cars built for the Craig Mtn. Lumber Company during 1914 by The Seattle Car & Foundry.

Also, the University of Idaho, Moscow, has a very large collection of company records on this lumbering concern.

Someday, maybe someone will be able to put together a good history and publish a book on the Craig Mtn. Lumber Company.

I've been trying to keep track of where all the KM equipment has gone to. I have this partial list (below) of KM equipment locations. Can anyone provide any more details as to the dispositions of the KM equipment?

1. W&OV loco #1, RI wood coach, and one other passenger car - Hoffman Construction Display, Black River Falls, WI
2. Loco #9, Heisler #3, and D&LW coaches #573 and #583 - at National RR Museum, Green Bay, WI
3. Wood combine - tourist RR in AZ
4. 1 wood caboose (ex-MILW?) - Madison, WI for use as business office
5. CB&Q day coach - still at KM looking for a buyer
6. Disassembled loco (#16?) - still at KM
7. SOO Business Car - Waukesha, WI depot restaurant

Boyd: I appreciate your keeping tabs on the KM equipment. Still seem to be some coaches not accounted for and also some freight equipment (cabooses, stock car, hepper car, etc.)

If others are interested in the Kettle Moraine Equipment, I have put together a web page that I will be updating as I get more info about dispositions of it.

Post subject:  Former Tourist Ry/Museum Equipment
If there is interest, I would like to put together lists of equipment dispositions from other former tourist railways/museums.
I don't have the time myself to research all the dispositions, but if others could provide the info, I would gladly put it together.
Please let me know if there is interest in such a project.
