A 1992 photo of the then 37 stall CPR roundhouse at St. Luc Yard, Montreal. Since demolition last year, only stalls 29-37 remain (for M-O-W use, and two stalls for running repairs to commuter cars), plus the back wall and partial roof of 26-28. Built in 1950, it was Canada's second-newest roundhouse. Located on the edge of the yard, it would have made a nice museum, without bothering the rest of the operations. The turntable is still used, with what looks like hydraulic motors and controls at each end. Our engines still tie up at the "coal chute", which today is a modern fuel rack.
