It was built for the Hot Springs Branch narrow guage. They started off with a couple of 36" guage Porter 2-4-0s, but the line became a standard guage MOP branch. It is currently run by the Arkansas Midland. The roundhouse itself is made of local stone, and was last used as a ware house. It is remarkably intact. all it lacks is a table (I think that the tracks are still in the floor). lorija799@aol.com |
