Hello all;
I have a question that hopefully someone can help me with.
A few years ago in a local paper (I live in Auburn California) There was an article on a Steam engine that had been abandoned near Emigrant Gap, Ca. (Texas Hill). From what I remember it was a narrow gauge Porter 0-4-0T. What I am looking for is ANY information about this engine, Included in the article was a photograph of the engine under a small A-frame structure. This was a few years back and there would be almost no way to get my hands on a copy of this paper.. so I figured someone might have an idea out there.
Also I am always looking for info on other abandoned, sunken or likewise engines, rolling stock, etc..
-Andrew
abrandon@foothill.net |
There was a Porter 0-4-0T that PG&E pulled out of a dam a couple years ago. It had been submerged for decades and was being cosmetically restored for display. I remember TRAINS magazine had a short comment and picture about it.

jkruger504@aol.com |
