Does anyone have the link to the GN Pacific project in the Midwest? I believe the loco number is 1355 (?) Anyone know how this project is proceeding?<br> |

The group restoring this engine is the Siouxland Historical Railroad Association, located in Sioux City, Iowa. To find their web site, you need look no further than the the RyPN links page, in the "Hosted by RyPN/Under Construction" section. Being "under construction" there isn't a whole lot of info there, though, just a couple of old photos of the engine.<p>More info can be found on Lindsay Korst's Great Northern site (see link below), but the latest update here is about a year old. Still, it gives you a pretty good idea of what's going on with the project. Update on GN #1355 steam locomotive rjenkins@railfan.net |
