One of my memories of steam in the 70's (or early 80's) was riding behind SP 4449 from LA to Oxnard. Racing through the San Fernando Valley, we passed a small industrial plant with the whole staff on the loading dock--probably owner to janitor. I can imagine the boss getting on the PA system "Everyone out on the dock, you'll see something you'll never see again!!." brunettedavis@aol.com |
