BBC News reports (link below) that a 31-year-old driver of an excursion train was killed today in a collision with an automobile at a grade crossing when the train derailed and flipped.

The unique aspect: It was the 15-inch-gauge Romney, Hythe, and Dymchurch Railway. The report indicates the railway is a steam operation, and it's safe to assume on a summer weekend that the train was steam-hauled, but I cannot confirm whether the train was steam or diesel.

The Romney web site gives no details of the accident other than it was a fatal accident. It
is mainly a post that there will be no traffic on the RR today while the accident is being investigated and repairs made.
They do have both steam and diesel power.Click

is "Shoe Horned" into the cab it is pretty obvious that it would not be a good place to be in a collision.
