I don't know if anyone posted information about the Martinsburg Roundhouse but here is a nice story. Tom Martinsburg Roundhouse Story |

Are the remains of the burned roundhouse still standing? I'd like to see photos of it, as well as proposed plans for the extant building, which I assume will have little to do with its history. From what I've read, it will be turned into some sort of performance arena - sort of like the Nickelodean TV show "Roundhouse" come to life. The latter (cancelled) show, incidently, seems to have a cult following, though not as large as Star Trek. http://locket.net/roundhouse/kathletternick2.html ryarger@rypn.org |

I don't think they really have them in any detail yet. I've heard everything from a shopping complex, to a performing arts complex, to a satellite branch of the Army Ordinance Museum. Last I heard the tenative concept was mixed-use with museum space, shopping space, and arts/community center space. Martinsburg fire damage eledbetter@rypn.org |
