Did the 3985 run this year with elephant ears? I don't think I have ever seen a picture of her running in excursion service with them on. If so, are these original or were they recently fabricated? |

This year's Denver to Cheyenne ferry and fantrip for the Rocky Mt. RR Club was the Club's 65th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of their first Challenger fantrip, with engine 3967. For the occasion, 3985 had smoke deflectors and was numbered 3967. UP has done this before so they probably have the 3967 number plate and smoke deflectors in stock.
