Here is a little article about people working to reclaim 3716. The story does not give a lot of details. I was wondering if anyone can fill us in as to what is going on/proposed for the 3716 and or 2860. Thanks, Tom |

I like the way they said the 3716 was "cut in half"! Railfans are now revolting in the streets I assume? |

Of the old BCR steam fleet, 3716 was moved (boiler on one truck, chassis on another - i.e. "cut in half") to Summerland, B.C. for restoration and eventual operation on the Kettle Valley Steam Railway www.kettle. The Royal Hudson was moved (in one piece) to the West Coast Railway Association museum at Squamish and funds are being raised for its restoration. Some of the BC contributors should be better able to provide details. > Here is a little article about people > working to reclaim 3716. The story does not > give a lot of details.
