Hershey Park did have an electric train that ran from the RDG Co. station into the park. As I recall it had the power car in the middle and was double ended. Is it still around? Electric City Trolley Museum Association |

Hey Phil I've seen pictures of it in an excellent book about the history of Hershey Park. All I could ever find out is that the (third rail) electric train was removed in the late 60's because it was considered unsafe and would cost too much to re-work. I have no idea where it went and if it survives, but you're right it had an electric locomotive in the middle with two cars before and 2 cars trailing it. I have no idea where it went and if it survives, but you're right it had an electric locomotive in the middle with two cars before and 2 cars trailing it. The NRHS even chartered it for a special in the 50's. While putting on a display at the Hershey Museum several years ago on Hershey trolleys, I heard that the electric train was in storage somehwere in Hershey.
